Economic Development Certified Community
The Nebraska
Economic Development Certified Communities certification signals a community's
dedication, leadership, and vision for growing and attracting new jobs and
people.
Community Development Assistance Act
CDAA encourages
financial support by businesses to community betterment organizations in their
efforts to implement community service and development projects in chronic
economically distressed areas.
Community Development Block Grant
The CDBG
program provides Nebraskans with safe, affordable and accessible housing and
infrastructure; and quality jobs and investment through financing new and
expanding businesses.
Targeting Industries
The Nebraska Department
of Economic Development assists communities and regions through a local industry
targeting process to select economic growth targets that make sense for the
area.
Building Entrepreneurial Communities Act
BECA provides
grants to rural communities to implement collaborative projects addressing
issues related to chronic economic distress, unemployment, lower-than-average
per capita income and severe population loss.
Tourism Assessment Resource Growth Evaluation Team
The TARGET program helps Nebraska’s rural communities
celebrate strengths, improve weaknesses, and reach tourism potentials
